• Kambaba Jasper, also known as Crocodile Jasper, is a unique green stone found primarily in Madagascar, composed of microcrystalline quartz and various mineral inclusions (such as quartz, feldspar, cristobalite, and albite) and ancient fossilized colonies of cyanobacteria that create its distinctive pattern. The stone is actually not a Jasper, but a fossil. It is characterized by swirling, orbicular patterns of deep forest green and darker green to black markings that resemble algae or moss-like formations, giving it a texture and appearance reminiscent of a primordial landscape.
